Food transparency in the EU is under heavy attack!
On 17th June, the European Parliament took an unprecedented decision: For the first time in history, our legislators voted to take away a crucial piece of information from our food’s labels. They voted against our right to know what we eat.
Labels will no longer show whether the food we eat contains genetically modified organisms.
Our Europe-wide campaign had fought to prevent this horrifying decision. Together with farmers and consumers from all over Europe, we had cried out to the Parliament to stop this insanity.
They chose to ignore us.
But we will not give up.
So far, its only in our laws. Not on our fields! And not in our food!
